Especially with live betting, speed is everything. That’s why the new live scan-slip is intuitive and easy to use.
Your customers can fill–out up to 10 events on one slip and  it is possible to place up to a combination of 32 by using additional slips.
Of course all important tip types are available:

2. Over / Under
3. Who scores the next goal? / Who wins the next set?
4. 1st half: 1X2 rest of match
5. 1st half: Over / Under

Furthermore your customers can easily and comfortably mark banks, cancel individual rows, place their stake and place system bets.
The new live scan–slip is compatible with every Datawin OMR 19E and can now be used in bookmaker5 and Easyweb.

The new scan-slip uses the largest document size possible for the Datawin OMR 19E scanner. Your customers can fill-out up to 13 events on one slip. And of course it is possible to place up to a combination of 32 by using additional slips.

Due to the latest legal changes in Malta we adapted our software to the newest standards. The monthly notification requirements of the LGA are directly implemented as a standard-report in the bookmaker5 system.

The STARBET AG, a long standing customer of our company, has launched a bettingterminal on the market, that is licenced by the BRD-government for the first time.

The STARBET AG owns one of the three former DDR licences. From now on they offer this licence not only in the online-market, but also for the first time in the market of cabinet-operators and end customers. That is another big step in clarifying the legal Situation in the BRD.

We are mutually happy with our customers about the new Go4Gold Terminal from TAB. Naturally our bm5terminal software has been immediately adapted for this wonderful terminal and is now available in several versions.

The first of our partners to put together a package for end customers and cabinet operators is Starbet AG. Please ask our about it.

To better provide to the needs of our customers, the entire bookmaker5 system (next to English, German and French) is now available completely in Russian.

Begawin, the new sports betting and casino provider on Malta with Spain as the target market has accomplished the soft launch.

The platform was developed on the basis of the innovative bookmaker5 platform of Arland, the designs emanate from the Spanish star designer Javier Capa Bazán and they are perfectly adjusted to the target market. The integration of the casino platform of NET Entertainment and the mobile sports betting connection of MOCONSO AG was added to the platform.

The new adapted and for Begawin custom tailored Content Management System offers the possibility of changing the content (text, pictures …) on the website even easier and quicker for being able to permanently keep them up to date. According to the customers requirements the integration of Spanish and English was designed and for the future further languages as well as add-ons are planned.

Now it is within reach! According to today’s press release from German’s CDU/CSU party, a declaration of intent was signed yesterday: The German monopoly within sports betting is to be abolished.
This is a major step for the German sports betting market as the claim for the monopoly has been repeatedly challenged by private betting collectors and the European Union itself. Now a definitive solution is within reach. The declared aim of the CDU/CSU party is to free the way for a solution which will satisfy European law as well as German constitutional law.

The judgment of the European Court of Justice regarding the case “Placanica” has been awaited impatiently. Based on the Italian case it got confirmed, that a Member State may not apply a criminal penalty for failure to complete an administrative formality, such as offering sports betting without the appropriate concession in this particular Member State, where such completion is refused or rendered impossible by that Member State.

Conclusion: The European Court of Justice rules that criminal penalties for the collecting of bets by intermediaries acting on behalf of foreign companies are contrary to community law and strengthens therewith the position of private betting collectors.

On September 20th 2006 the new version bookmaker 5.4 was released.

According to multiple requests of our customers we developped the product bm5WebShop.

Based on the powerful bm5Web engine the bm5WebShop offers the possibility of providing sports betting on any internet PC (Windows, Apple, or Linux PC) and printing tickets via any compatible printer. No local installation of the software in required, bm5WebShop runs via browser.

Of course the WebShop system is not as powerful as the bm5Client, but displays an ideal alternative for sports betting in critical markets and for shops with smaller revenues.

The Arland Technologies mbH is currently working on two further versions of the bm5WebShop: the bm5WebShop 2.0 with optimized input and the bm5WebTerminal - a special version for the input of bets via PDA, tablet PC, Origami PC etc. - these versions will be available in fall 2006.
